Living Christ Mission, a renowned church, traces its humble beginnings to a young Nigerian graduate, Victor Onukogu, who returned to Nigeria in 1980 after studying Industrial Chemistry in Zambia. His spiritual leadership in Zambia was marked by extraordinary miracles and rapid growth in the University Christian Fellowship. Upon returning to Nigeria for his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme, Victor Onukogu’s dedication to his duties, sanctity and humble lifestyle while at the Inland Girls’ Secondary School, Onitsha, gained him respect and followers. His influence led to the birth of Living Christ Mission.
The church’s early days were marked by miraculous events, including the resurrection of a student and the formation of a prayer ministry called, “Ekpere Hezekiah”. This ministry evolved into Living Christ Mission, which expanded its reach both spiritually and geographically. Despite facing persecutions and false allegations, the church persisted and was officially registered with the
Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria in 1985. Today, Living Christ Mission boasts impressive achievements, including massive temples, educational institutions such as Hezekiah University, Umudi, Imo State, Living Christ Nursery and Primary Schools in Onitsha, Owerri, and Nkwerre.
Living Christ Mission’s 40th anniversary celebration reflects its remarkable journey with the holy being, Daddy Hezekiah and his selfless contributions to the church’s growth and impact. This summary highlights the church’s transformation from a small prayer ministry to a thriving religious institution with a global presence.
